Tile Doctor Shield 72-36 can be applied to manufactured goods prior to installation or post installation as an extension of the manufacturing process and thus qualify as an exempted treated article.
Instructions:
Use Tile Doctor Shield 72-36 on only clean, dry areas, articles and surfaces. Remove children and pets from areas to be treated, or areas where articles will be treated, until application is completely dry. Prior to application, test for staining and colorfastness by treating and drying a small, concealed portion of area/article/surface to be treated. For each application, determine optimum application and drying conditions, such as time and temperature, before use. If desired or necessary, reapply Tile Doctor Shield 72-36 if odor, staining and discoloration due to bacteria, mold or mildew occur.
Prepare aqueous solutions by adding Tile Doctor Shield 72-36 to water with stirring. Poor agitation when adding Tile Doctor Shield 72-36 to water can result in locally high concentrations which may form gel particles. Suggested starting level is 1 part of Tile Doctor Shield 72-36 to 3 parts of water. Treat surfaces with the aqueous solution by brushing, dipping, padding, soaking or spraying until adequately wet or apply by foaming techniques.
Dry the surface at temperatures from ambient to a maximum of 320ºF (160ºC) to effect complete condensation of silanol groups and to remove water, solvents and/or traces of methanol from hydrolysis. If necessary, reapply Tile Doctor Shield 72-36 every three months or when odor, staining and discoloration due to bacteria, mold and mildew return For Commercial Spray Equipment, including Electrostatic, and Pump Sprayer Application: Dilute 1 part of Tile Doctor Shield 72-36 to three parts of water. Spray entire surface at a distance of 4-6 inches from the surface making sure that the surface is completely covered, then let stand until dry or let stand 3 minutes and wipe dry with cloth or sponge. If spotting occurs, wipe with moist cloth or sponge. When treating coarser substrates, more Tile Doctor Shield 72-36 may be required due to absorption.
Washable Fabrics/Textiles / Laundry
Dipping/Soaking: Use a wash tub or machine for soaking the items you are treating. Always treat only clean items and use only fresh rinse water.
Wash Tub: Use washbasin or tub big enough to completely soak the item you are treating. Add 1 fluid ounce of Tile Doctor Shield 72-36 to sufficient water to soak 4 lbs. of fabric, 2 fluid ounces for 8 lbs. Completely submerge items in solution for 3 minutes. Remove items and dry. Do not reuse solution after dipping/soaking. Treated items may be dried at room temperature or in a clothes dryer at the appropriate setting for the items.
Washing Machine: Run only the rinse cycle. Add 2 fluid ounces of Tile Doctor Shield 72-36 for small, 3 fluid ounces for medium or 4 fluid ounces for large load settings on the machine. Run the full rinse cycle to treat the fabrics, then allow to dry overnight or use a dryer under the appropriate heat setting for the fabrics being treated.
Spray Application: Dilute one part of Tile Doctor Shield 72-36 to three parts of water and mix or shake well. Using trigger pump sprayer or pressure sprayer, spray entire surface of area 4”-6” from the surface making sure the surface is completely covered. Let stand until dry or dry under the appropriate heat setting for fabrics being treated. If spotting occurs, wipe with moist cloth or sponge. Test for staining and colorfastness of fabric by treating and drying a small concealed area prior to application. If necessary, reapply every three months or when odor, staining and discoloration due to bacteria, mold stains or mildew stains return.
Carpet and Upholstery/Furniture
Spray Application: Always apply only to clean surfaces. Dilute one part of Tile Doctor Shield 72-36 to three parts of water and mix or shake well. Apply to carpet and furniture using a trigger pump sprayer or pressure sprayer. Spray entire surface from a distance of 4-6 inches until completely covered. The amount needed for treatment will depend on the coarseness and absorbency of the material being treated. A fan may be used to assist in drying carpeting. If spotting occurs, wipe with moist cloth or sponge. If necessary, reapply every three months or when odor, staining and discoloration due to bacteria, mold or mildew stains return.
How It Works

The surface treated with Shield strongly attracts microbes (as shown in the below drawing)
Denaturing the microbes by physical perforation and penetration of
the outer skin.
No heavy metals, poisons or toxins are required.
The mode of action is quite different from any product in the market. It is a permanent surface modification that will not leach off to the surrounding areas or the environment. It will bond permanently to the treated surface.

What are Microbes and How Do They Affect Clean?
Microbes that are single-celled microorganisms that cannot be seen with the naked eye
All Microbes are “Charged” (electro –statically charged) most being negatively charged and generally measure between 0.1 to 5 microns in size
Microbes are microorganisms such as Bacteria, Algae, Mold, Mildew, Fungi, Yeast, etc… and even some viruses could be classified as Microbes. They require Food, Moisture and a Surface to live on, that surface is where they effect cleanliness. Each harbor and affect clean in different ways, some effect the surface and some the surface plus the air quality
